Campus De Nayer – Lessius Mechelen, Belgium

The Campus De Nayer consists of the department af Applied Engineering and the department of Technology. It is a division of Lessius Mechelen, and is located in Saint-Katelijne-Waver, Belgium. the department of Applied Engineering was founded in 1922; the department of Technology in 1985. Approximately 1200 students and 100 professors are presently studying and working on the campus. Both departments cooperate within EduNet.




The Campus DE NAYER offers Master degree programmes at the department of Applied Engineering as well as Bachelor degree programmes at the department of Technology. The academic year starts mid-September and is based on a two semester system. The 2nd semester starts February. Each semester ends with a period for study and exam. The summer holidays start at the beginning of July.

The department of Applied Engineering offers four-year programmes to obtain a master degree oin the following engineering disiplines: construction, land, surbeying, biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, electromechancial engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering (automation, electrical energy) and electronics-ICT. The department of Applied Engineering also offers a "master in welding engineering" (master following a master) which leads to obtain a certificate of European welding engineer.

The department of Technology offers three-year programmes for a bachelor degree in the disciplines automotive engineering, electromechanics (automation, climatisation, maintenance), electronic-ICT (domotics / immotics, electronics, ICT) and mechanical design technology and production technology.

Past and future arrangements

  • The KNX Scientific Conference 2008 has been organised at Campus DE NAYER 20th and 21st of November 2008.
  • Workshop Profibus Belgium will be organised at Campus DE NAYER in 2009.
