defended and 350 research projects were developed, which led to the registration of 64 patents.
General Information
The teaching and research activity is divided in 38 departments, being the departments of electrical, electronic, computer and systems engineering (DIEECS) the most suitable for the use of PHOENIX’s technology in electrical interfaces and industrial automation.
The subjects and lecturers within the DIEECS department are structured in three knowledge areas:
ISA (systems and automation engineering)
TE (electronic technology)
IE (electrical engineering)
TSC (theory of signals and communication)
The main educational and research laboratories of the DIEECS are located in the following schools and faculties

- University college of Technical Industrial Engineering.
- University college of Technical IT Engineering.
- Civil marine school.
- Technical Engineering School.

- Technical college for Mining Engineers.
- University college of Technical IT Engineering.
- Faculty of Science.
- Faculty of Chemistry.
MIERES:
- University college of Technical Mining Engineering.
